The Ministry of Infrastructure on 19 July announced how the Local Roads Fund (FDS) money for 2020 will be allocated among the country’s 16 voivodships.
36bn over 10 years
The Ministry of Infrastructure presented a regional distribution of funds from the state budget for the implementation of the FDS programme. The voivods are to issue calls for grant applications within 14 days of formal receipt of this information. FDS grants will support road projects in communes and districts. Importantly, multi-year projects will be eligible for FDS support, which could encourage local authorities to undertake larger investments that they have been putting off. The government plans to transfer a total of PLN 36bn (€8.5bn) to local governments in the form of FDS grants over the next 10 years.
