Austrotherm opened a plant in Grodków

Austrotherm has opened a modern plant in Grodków to produce polystyrene foam. In addition to Oświęcim and Skierniewice, this is the third factory to produce thermal insulation materials for the construction industry. The plant uses the latest and unique production technologies on the Polish market, state-of-the-art machine park and advanced automation, digitalization and production safety systems from renowned Polish producers.

The new plant will employ 50 people, residents of Grodków and neighbouring communities. The factory is also a solid support and an impulse for the development of the labour market economy in the Opole region.

– Concern for the highest quality of products is inscribed in routine activities of Austrotherm company. We know that good quality with regard to both products and customer service is always at a premium. Our efforts are appreciated by our customers, which is why the demand for our brand products is increasing year on year. Recently, the demand has been affected by the government program to fight smog and significant increases in energy prices. Also the record-breaking output in the housing construction industry was an important signal for us to increase the potential in the form of a new plant. We hope that it will allow us to meet the needs of all existing and potential customers – says Anna Śpiewak, President of the Management Board of Austrotherm.

Jerzy Płonka, Vice President of the Board, adds – The area on which the factory was established is 2.5 hectares. The production hall, equipped with the equipment of Polish producers, will allow to accept a larger number of orders than so far, without worrying about the date of their realization. First trucks with polystyrene foam left the factory in Grodków, in March 2021.
