Building materials continue to rise in price

Building materials prices in June 2021, compared to June 2020, increased by 7.1% on average, according to data from the PSB Handel Group. This is the fourth consecutive month with dynamics exceeding 4%. Since the beginning of this year, the rate of growth of building materials prices has clearly accelerated.

In June, increases were recorded in 19 commodity groups:

OSB (+40.1%),
thermal insulation (+17.5%),
roofs, gutters (+12.8%),
installations, heating (+10.6%),
waterproofing (+8.8%),
garden and hobbies (+8.3%),
furnishings (+7.2%),
tools (+7.1%),
woodwork (+7.0%),
lighting, electrical (+6.7%),
tiles, bathrooms, kitchens (+6.4%),
surroundings of the house (+5.9%),
drywall (+5.9%),
furnishings, household appliances (+5.7%),
construction chemicals (+4.8%),
automotive (+4.6%),
decorations (+3.7%),
cement, lime (+3.4%),
paints, varnishes (+3.2%).

Prices fell only in the group of walls, chimneys (-2.0%).

Prices in the period I-VI 2021, compared to the same period of 2020, increased by 5.5% on average. Increases were recorded in 19 groups:

OSB (+26.9%),
thermal insulation (+15.1%),
drywall (+11.5%),
roofs and gutters (+8.0%),
lighting, electrical (+7.6%),
installations, heating (+7.4%),
garden and hobbies (+5.9%),
cement, lime (+4.9%),
tools (+4.6%),
waterproofing (+4.4%),
finishes (+3.9%),
joinery (+3.8%),
equipment, household appliances (+3.7%),
automotive (+3.3%),
tiles, bathrooms, kitchens (+3.2%)
building chemistry (+3.0%)
paints, varnishes (+2.5%),
house surroundings (+1.8%)
decorations (+1.8%).

Prices fell only in the group of walls, chimneys (-4.6%).
