15 June 2021. Mostostal Płock has signed a contract with Naftoremont-Naftobudowa for the execution of a number of works under the task performed on the Visbreaking Installation at the Production Plant of PKN Orlen S.A. in Płock. Contract value: PLN 18.2 million net.
– Mostostal Plock carries out strategic investments and major overhauls of installations in most sectors of Polish industry. We also work for the Polish chemical and petrochemical industries, whose projects we realize with the highest quality. This is confirmed by our long-standing work on PKN Orlen’s investments,” says Jacek Szymanek, Mostostal Płock President.
The works commissioned to Mostostal Płock are connected to assembly, anti-corrosion, insulation, testing, cleaning, drying, PMI and introduction to SZEOR system – pipelines on flyovers together with steam heating, support structures and fastenings. The project will be implemented as part of investment task no. 11241 titled “Visbreaking installation at PKN Orlen S.A. Production Plant in Płock.”
In the Visbreaking installation, vacuum residue, which has so far been used to produce heavy fuel oils or asphalt, will be processed into high-margin products – gasoline and diesel. This means that the refinery will be able to carry out even more in-depth processing of crude oil, and thus obtain several percentage points more fuel per barrel than before.
