Maciej Sypek, who has been associated with Lafarge for 12 years, has become its new CEO of cement and B2B/B2C sales in Poland, announced the company in a press release. His task will be to develop a new sales strategy.

12 years at Lafarge

Maciej Sypek has worked at Lafarge for 12 years. Before his appointment to the new position, he held positions in the company like Key Account Manager or B2B/B2C segment manager. He created a national technical support department and a complaint handling centre. From 2017 he was a technical marketing director, where he coordinated the work of teams responsible for research and development, technical support and complaint handling.

The first weeks of the new position will be filled by meetings with key customers and sales team members, Maciej Sypek said, quoted in the press release. The task set for the new director is to implement a new sales strategy based on new services, innovative products and modern technological solutions.

Maciej Sypek is a graduate of Chemical Technology at the AGH University of Science and Technology in Kraków (AGH). He also obtained an MBA diploma from the Polish-American Business School at the Cracow University of Technology and the Warsaw University of Technology within the LafargeHolcim Discovery programme. Currently, she is pursuing doctoral studies at the AGH.

Lafarge, a company operating in Poland since 1995, is one of the leading manufacturers of cement, aggregates and concrete, as well as the leader of solutions on the domestic construction market. It employs nearly 1.5 thousand workers in almost 50 plants. Lafarge is a part of the global LafargeHolcim Group, which employs about 90 thousand people in over 80 countries and has over 2.3 thousand plants.
