Polskie Domy Drewniane (PDD) has signed a contract with the general contractor for the investment in Łódź. The construction of the single-family housing estate will be carried out by a consortium of RISER and RISER.domy.
n single-family housing in Łódź, 11 premises with 14 parking spaces will be built. The entire investment will be implemented based on the wooden skeleton technology. Construction works will begin in the last quarter of this year. In the first stage, construction and earth works will be carried out.
– When selecting the general contractor, we wanted to focus on a company that not only has experience and provides comprehensive services, but also understands our philosophy. We want to build healthy, residents-friendly wooden buildings, while keeping the carbon footprint as low as possible. We operate according to our schedule. In just a few days, we will hand over the construction site to the general contractor who will be able to start their activities, which will end in the fourth quarter of next year – says Tomasz Szlązak, President of the Management Board of Polskie Domów Drewniane S.A.
The consortium of RISER and RISER.domy will have full investor supervision over the construction of single-family housing estates, including construction, sanitary and electrical works. The tasks of the general contractor will also include designing the external and internal infrastructure, pedestrian and traffic routes and other necessary accompanying services.
– Together with Polish Wooden Houses, we are developing frame construction
in Poland. I am glad that our company, its team and comprehensive approach to investments have been noticed and appreciated. The more that the future of construction for us is marked by ecology and constant reduction of environmental degradation. The challenge of this construction is the short implementation time. We have six months to build a housing estate in a developer standard with the entire infrastructure. Professional staff, proper construction organization and the use of our modular Wood Core House system allow me to calmly guarantee the completion and commissioning of the investment on time – says Piotr Góralczyk, President of the Management Board of RISER and RISER.domy.
The wooden structure used in the construction of the estate will be manufactured by the Wood Core House company – a Polish company dealing in the production of frame structures in proprietary and patent-pending technology that he develops thanks to funds from the National Center for Research and Development.
– We are glad that, as a Polish manufacturer of modulated frame structures, we can implement a pilot investment promoting frame construction in Poland. The short time in which we are to deliver wooden structures of buildings perfectly reflects the advantages of our technology. The modular construction system developed by us allows us to produce an order within a few days and the assembly team will put the building in an open shell condition in about 6 days. The key advantage for the future resident is guaranteed
and the durability and strength of the building confirmed by us. For 3 years we tested every element of the system and finally the entire structure of the building was examined. The research was carried out on a real scale at the Faculty of Civil Engineering of the Silesian University of Technology. We are glad that together with Polish Wooden Houses we will show and develop modern technologies of ecological wooden construction on the Polish market – says Radosław Bańkowski, Technical Director, co-founder of Wood Core House.
Completion of works in Łódź is planned for the last quarter of 2021.
