The infrastructure manager, PKP Polskie Linie Kolejowe S.A. adopted the document “PKP Polskie Linie Kolejowe S.A. – Investment plans for 2021 – 2030 with an outlook to 2040”.
Management Board of PKP Polskie Linie Kolejowe S.A. adopted a document entitled “PKP Polskie Linie Kolejowe S.A. – Investment plans for 2021-2030 with an outlook to 2040” together with the documentation prepared within the framework of strategic environmental impact assessment.
The document aims to indicate priorities for development of the railway network in the perspective until 2040 by identifying investment projects that best serve the achievement of objectives set for railway transport.
The purpose of the environmental impact forecast is to identify and assess the anticipated environmental impacts resulting from the implementation of the investment projects indicated in the document. In case of a possibility of the occurrence of the so-called significant negative impacts on the environment, the forecast is to indicate the minimising measures.
Prior to its adoption, the strategic document and the environmental impact forecast were made publicly available. Interested parties were twice able to submit comments and proposals within the deadlines: from 16 October to 13 November 2020 and from 23 March to 12 April 2021. All comments and applications were analysed. The submissions considered legitimate were taken into account in the content of the strategic document and the environmental impact forecast.
Information on the consideration of the comments and applications is included in the written summary referred to in Article 55 (3) of the Act of 3 October 2008 on the provision of information on the environment and its protection, public participation in environmental protection and environmental impact assessments.
