Sniezka builds a logistics centre

Sniezka has signed a contract for construction works, under which it will execute the first stage of the logistics centre in Zawada, the company said in a press release. The investment will concern the construction of a warehouse hall.
Cost of PLN 77m
According to the general contract, the contractor for the first stage of the investment was Przedsiebiorstwo Budowlano-Uslugowe Hand-Bud from Debica. The estimated remuneration for the project was set at PLN 76.6m. The completion of the first stage is planned for the end of 2020.
According to the estimates of the Management Board, expenditures on the implementation of the investment in 2019 will amount to PLN 19.8m, and in 2020 PLN 56.8m. Sniezka has secured financing for the project in the scope of own and external resources.
Logistics centre
The new logistics centre of Sniezka will be built on a plot of almost 15 ha. The location of the facility has been established in Zawada, in Podkarpackie Voivodeship near the Debica interchange, east at the A4 motorway.
The aim of the construction of the centre is to increase the logistic capacity through the possibility of storing more finished products and sending more pallets per day. Sniezka also assumes reducing the costs of logistic processes in the company and selected companies of the capital group. The facility is to take over the functions of the existing warehouses of finished products in Brzeznica, Lubzin and Pustkow.
Increase in profit
In the first quarter of 2019. Sniezka generated a net profit of PLN 14.1m, compared to PLN 10.5m a year earlier (an increase of 34% y-o-y). Consolidated sales revenues amounted to PLN 128.5m, compared to PLN 118.4m in the corresponding period of last year (increase by 8.5% y-o-y). Decorative products (77.3%) and construction chemicals (12.8%) had the largest share in the company’s sales structure.
