The time has come for unexpected changes in the authorities of PFR Real Estate. At the end of this year, Mirosław Barszcz, President of the Management Board, and Grzegorz Muszynski, Vice President of the Management Board, say goodbye to their positions. The competition for new board members will be announced in January 2020.
Success or failure?
The outgoing president and vice-president built a professional team of 250 people who prepared 70 investment projects for 40 thousand apartments. This result is well received by industry experts, but it is much less well perceived by the general public, where it is even called a failure. Such a critical perception of the activity of the unit responsible for the Flat Plus programme so far results to a large extent from the failure to fulfil the election media promise to build 100,000 flats for rent, which turned out to be simply unrealistic.
New impetus needed
Changes in the Management Board of PFR Real Estate were made by mutual agreement. According to Puls Biznesu, they were initiated by the Minister of Development Jadwiga Emilewicz, who after taking over the construction area in the government wants to give a new impulse to the Flat Plus programme. As the PFR group reports to Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, he also had to approve changes in the management board of PFR Real Estate.
