The Management Board of Poznań Construction Corporation Pekabex S.A. informed that the Supervisory Board of the Company, on 21 July 2020, adopted a resolution on appointing Tomasz Seremet as a new Member of the Management Board.
10 years in the Group
Tomasz Seremet is a graduate of the Poznan University of Technology and the Poznan School of Banking. He completed master’s studies in the field of construction with a specialization in construction and engineering structures and postgraduate studies in management psychology. He gained his design and implementation experience both in Polish and foreign construction companies. He is authorized to design and manage construction works without any limitations in the specialty of construction and construction and has a certificate of Chartered Engineer of Engineers Ireland CEng MIEI. In the years 2000-2005 he worked for Biuro Inżynierski Projekta Sp. z o.o. (last position Managing Director). For the next 5 years he worked for Concast Precast Ltd, an Irish prefabricated company, as the Manager of the Design Office, dealing with project design and execution.
Since 2010, associated with Pekabex Group, successively developed and built the General Contracting Department as Director of the GW Department and Member of the Management Board of Pekabex Bet S.A. and Pekabex Pref S.A.
A good period
In 2019, Pekabex’s operating profit amounted to PLN 39.40 million, compared to PLN 67.47 million in the previous year, and net profit reached PLN 30.50 million, compared to PLN 51.21 million in 2018. This is worse than the record-breaking and exceptional year 2018, but better than the results achieved in 2017 by 18.0% for net profit and 12.7% for operating profit. Last year’s sales revenues reached 772.05 million PLN, compared to 886.34 million PLN a year earlier.
However, at the end of 2019, the cash balance remained at a record level, which amounted to 106.57 million PLN, despite the execution of significant investments, and the portfolio of contracts to be executed this year is the best in history.
