At the beginning of February, a new director of office space leasing joined the Yareal team. The position was taken up by Marta Zawadzka, a leasing market expert with 15 years of professional experience in the commercial real estate industry.
The new leasing director will be responsible for implementing the leasing strategy for Yareal’s office projects, in particular the developer’s flagship investment, the LIXA campus complex near Warsaw’s Rondo Daszyńskiego.
“After several years of continuous development, Yareal is striving to take an even better position on the Warsaw office market. The LIXA complex, which is being built in the close vicinity of Wola, i.e. in the new business centre of Warsaw, will be successively expanded by new development stages from the current 28,000 sqm of office space to the target of 75,000 sqm. I am convinced that reinforcing our team with several years of experience of the new lease director will contribute to the development of the office projects we will commercialize,” – said Yareal CEO Eric Dapoigny.
Marta Zawadzka is a graduate of several master’s and post-graduate courses at Warsaw and Jagiellonian Universities, as well as AGH University of Science and Technology in Kraków, Warsaw School of Economics and Harvard Business School. In her career to date she has been responsible for coordinating the leasing process of office and retail space and cooperating with agents and tenants. Marta Zawadzka gained her experience managing leasing of commercial space – office and retail – in Avestus Real Estate, NEINVER, Kulczyk Silverstein Properties, TriGranit and GTC, among others.
“Working at Yareal is an ambitious challenge for me, in the implementation of which experience and relations from previous, very diverse projects will certainly be useful. I believe that especially nowadays, in the conditions of a changing market, the importance of credibility and professionalism is growing, therefore I am happy to join the Yareal team”. – said Marta Zawadzka, Yareal’s new Commercial Leasing Director.
The ongoing construction of LIXA is the largest office investment in Yareal’s history. The first phase of the project, comprising two office buildings with a total area of 28,000 sq m, has recently been delivered and sold, with BNP Paribas bank as the largest tenant. In the next phase, a building with an area of nearly 20,000 sq m is currently under construction, which is scheduled for completion in 2022. The next office buildings forming LIXA will be built next to a 150-metre-long internal pedestrian passage, marking the main axis of the LIXA complex. A similar solution in another Yareal investment – the Nowogrodzka Square office building – secured the developer the Grand Prix and the award for the best commercial building in the competition for the Architectural Award of the Mayor of Warsaw in 2019. Ultimately, LIXA will feature 75,000 sqm of office and retail space and – in addition – over half a hectare of communal gardens and greenery on terraces.
